Tepaluma in The New York Times: Chile is seeking its own gin.

Long known for its wine, Chile has now become a established destination for adventure travelers after expanding its national parks and attracting more visitors to Patagonia. Chilean gin, say its makers, can serve as a bridge between these two marketing points, leveraging Chile's reputation as a producer of distinctive alcohol and effectively bottling its wild nature.
