The launch of Tepaluma® Aged Gin, Spirit of the Césares, was not merely the presentation of a new product; it was the celebration of a dream cultivated among mountains, endless rains, and the indomitable force of Patagonia. Behind every drop of this oak-aged gin lies a slow, meticulous process guided by patience, passion, and the deep conviction that great treasures are not found they are built.

A gin that reveals itself, not one that needs explaining.

Tepaluma® Aged Gin, Spirit of the Césares, is an exceptional spirit rested for two years in American oak, French oak, and ex-Carménère barrels, achieving a unique and deeply expressive character. This prolonged maturation gives it an immaculate golden hue, accompanied by warm, complex aromas that signal its sophistication. The 2025 First Edition is composed of only 1,000 numbered bottles—this is a gin that defies explanation… it reveals itself.

• Color

It displays a beautiful translucent gold, pristine and free of impurities. Its shine reflects the depth of barrel work and the craftsmanship behind its creation.

• On the nose

The first impression is an intense note of vanilla, likely born from the combination of barrels: American oak, French oak, and Carménère wine.

This vanilla evokes slowly cooked desserts deep, complex preparations shaped by time and heat.

An elegant, never sharp wood profile emerges, reminiscent of incense and at times recalling the prestigious Mizunara barrels used in Japanese whiskies.

Winter citrus follows, especially orange and a hint of grapefruit, along with a distinctive touch of white pepper.

The whole is enveloping, with gentle flashes of honey and caramel refined and discreet.

• On the palate

Despite its 44% ABV, it is surprisingly elegant and rounded.

Winter citrus, especially orange, again takes center stage, creating perfect harmony between nose and palate.

It does not have an extremely long finish, but it does offer an intense, balanced, and character-rich entrance.

What lingers is not heat, but a captivating burst of flavor.

The interplay between the different woods is particularly attractive: American oak, French oak, and the Carménère barrel each contribute depth and remarkable unity.

Tepaluma’s 14 classic botanicals, seven sourced from Patagonia, remain present.

The exceptional quality juniper expresses itself subtly yet firmly, reminding us of its essence this is still a gin, beautifully transformed by time.

The result is a truly enchanting gin, both in aroma and flavor. Its color, elegance, and complexity reflect exceptional craftsmanship born in one of the most remote and awe-inspiring places on Earth: Patagonia.

A spectacular night in the heart of Aysén.

The launch brought together an important representation of the region: the Governor of Aysén, Marcelo Santana, along with members of the Regional Government, representatives from the Municipality of Coyhaique, ProChile Aysén, and other authorities who wished to be part of this milestone for the distillery.

Their presence reaffirmed the importance of continuing to build projects that are born in Patagonia and shared with the world.

We were also joined by distinguished clients and friends of Tepaluma®, who accepted our invitation to experience something truly unique. Between glasses, conversations, and discoveries, the evening became a celebration of community, territory, and shared vision.

It was, without a doubt, a spectacular night filled with emotion, pride, and the energy of those who believe in what we are creating.
